I don't get that classy plate with it? Deal breaker.

If it had a manual transmission and the price was $300, I’d be all over it. In fact, I had a lady who was going to sell me her Chevette for next to nothing, then I guess she forgot or changed her mind.

The Chevette may be a crapcan, but this is an awesome picture.

I’ve heard that these can be kind of fun with a manual and a 2.8/3.1 V6 under the hood.
Add box flares and a Vauxhall front clip and it would be perfect

Yep, proud to say I recognized that plate right away.
All my friends know the low rider.

From an old Cheech & Chong movie (Up In Smoke). Subtle and classic reference.

Although, it h aving an automatic increases the chances of the transmission still working instead of bei ng ground to shit.

Or a 283 V8?

That’s the automatic transmission that GM put into their Caprice Classics in 1977.

Don’t worry - I would never. When I was 16 I had to borrow a Pinto because my Dasher wagon (my parents thankfully spared me from dad’s Mustang II) was in the shop and I have not forgotten what a horrendous piece of crap that car was. From what I’ve read, the Pinto was a much better vehicle than a Chevette, but then again, just about every malaise-era domestic vehicle was garbage. Some may be OK to look at but I can’t think of one I’d enjoy driving.
